my lovely homage to taif rose & rich pear nectar, with a hint of peony petals & saffron threads. sweetly soft with a cosyness to honour the changing seasons, like the song of the swans.

the story

'the first light of dawn arrives bringing warmth to the pond. the dense mist rising shrouds a mysterious figure floating nearer, soundlessly, ethereal ghost of the water.

she spreads her great wings, white feathers waking with the faint sun like the melting of the last snows in spring. the air cools faster now, a sharpness more present with each passing day. it is near time to move to warmer grounds, but not yet. there is one more thing she must do.

her lovely eyes dipped in ebony are seeking. she turns just as the mist parts in earnest to reveal her life mate. he glides towards her and bows his head as she bows in turn. these movements will continue, gracefully mirroring each other in a perfectly synchronised dance of deepest devotion, as all else fades away.

candle care

best practices for longest lasting burn

  • always keep an eye on candle while burning
  • do not burn for longer than 4 hours at a time
  • trim wick to 1/4” above wax before every burn (or pinch off burnt wick)
  • let melt pool reach entire surface for first burn for best longevity
  • keep open flame away from pets, children, drafts, flammable materials
  • stop burning when 1/2” of wax remains

after use care

  • warm wax is easy to scoop out with paper towel or spoon. toss old wax & wick/wick clip in trash (not sink!)
  • wash jar & lid with hot soapy water
  • repurpose as flower vase, spice jar, trinket holder, anything you like!
